Faith Formation & Prayer Opportunities:

Living the Mass
UPDATED START DATE: Mondays beginning May 13 from 7-8:30 pm in the Commons
Have you been wanting to "get more" out of Mass? This is a concise 5-session series ideal for folks who just joined the Church or those for whom the Mass has become a somewhat lifeless routine. Based on Edward Sri’s "A Biblical Walk Through The Mass," this will help with understanding the biblical and traditional origins, meaning of the words, gestures, rituals and symbolisms of the Mass. Join us and make the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass a lively and fruitful experience! Click here to register.

Children’s Adoration
Thursday, May 9, 9:30-10 am in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
All families and their children (newborn and up) are invited to spend time in a family-friendly, guided adoration time.

Our Lady of Fatima Feast Day Rosary and Mass
Monday, May 13 at 1:30 pm
Join fellow parishioners and friends as we commemorate the Feast Day of Our Lady of Fatima at Yonderland Retreat Center 1050 East County Road 70, Mulhall, OK (about 6 miles north of Guthrie). We will depart from St. John the Baptist, West parking lot at 1:30 pm on Monday, May 13, up to the Retreat Center for a 3 pm rosary followed by mass in the chapel by Father Manti, with fellowship and snacks afterward. Please contact or text John Major for more information 405-409-5437.

Men of St John’s
While the Thursday morning men’s group is on summer break until September, as an alternative, I would like to invite fellow brothers in Christ to join us for the morning Rosary on Thursdays before the 7:30 am mass. Since we start promptly at 6:55 am, you can hit the snooze button a couple of times after your alarm clock goes off for normal men’s group. We don’t take attendance...There is no assigned seating. If you don’t have a rosary...no problem...we’ll provide you one...to keep! Just show up and meet us in the church and spend about 20 minutes getting to know Our Lady each Thursday. Unfortunately, we don’t offer breakfast either, but what we can offer you is a great start to your day each Thursday morning with fellow brothers in Christ together in intercessory prayer to our Lord’s Mother. And it’s Powerful. Come and experience that relationship. See you Thursday morning. For more information contact or text John Major 405-409-5437.

Spiritual Direction at St. John’s
Spiritual Direction is a process guided by the Holy Spirit in which two people enter into a unique conversation. The Spiritual Director is trained to listen in a particular way to hear where God is present and acting in the life of another. The primary focus of Spiritual Direction is on a person’s experience of God, often occurring in prayer, but not limited to times of formal prayer. Spiritual Direction is most concerned with helping a person with his or her relationship with God. If you are interested in Spiritual Direction to deepen your own personal relationship with Jesus, please reach out to Erin Snow at esnow@stjohn-catholic.org or (405) 340-0691.

The Rescue Project seeks to proclaim the gospel in a compelling and attractive way. Join us for this video Bible study experience imbued with beauty, authentic humanity, and accompaniment. Limited childcare provided, please register. Hope to see you there! Register for the Mom’s of St. John’s Study here.
